Resources have been created to maximise the ability of Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing people to be informed and engaged in all phases of natural hazard emergencies. By applying the strategies and suggestions outlined emergency service and related organisations will have increased capacity to work alongside Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing people in all phases of natural hazard emergencies.

Conexu is a national, not for profit organisation who works with the Deaf, Deafblind, hard of hearing and speech impaired communities. We consult with communities on barriers and solutions and develop and implement accessible technology-based communication options. We also research, conduct tech trials, build accessible apps which includes OpenAccess Face to face, OpenAccess Tours, OpenAccess Chat and OpenAccess Captions as well as manage a website that centralizes information relevant to deafness – www.techfinder.org.au
